Who qualifies
Chevrolet covers one visit. Picked up your 2024 or newer Chevy used? Chevrolet's terms name new owners and lessees, so call us at (509) 765-4517 before you book and we'll check what applies to your vehicle. Used vehicles bought from Bud Clary come with their own perk: 2 oil changes and 2 tire rotations.
- You bought or leased the vehicle new
- It is a 2024 or newer model year Chevrolet
- You are still inside your first 12 months of ownership, or 24 months for a Corvette
- The work is done at a participating Chevrolet, Buick or GMC dealership
When to book it
GM vehicles from 2004 on use an oil life system that estimates how long the oil will last based on how you drive. Chevrolet's guidance is an oil and filter change within the next 600 miles once Change Engine Oil Soon shows up, and no less than once a year even if it never does. Under easy driving, the system may not call for service for more than a year, so the 12-month window is the deadline to watch.
Columbia Basin drivers who put long stretches of I-90 or SR 17 behind them may see that message well before the first year is up. If most of your driving is short trips around Moses Lake, it may not come on in that time at all. Either way, get the covered visit on the calendar before 12 months pass so it doesn't go unused.
Gravel shoulders, wind and field dust are part of driving out here. Air filters are not part of the covered visit, so if you drive dusty roads, ask the technician to look at the engine air filter while your vehicle is in. Replacing it would be a separate charge.
Duramax diesel owners
On a new Chevrolet with a Duramax diesel, the covered visit adds a top-off of ACDelco Diesel Exhaust Fluid, up to 4 gallons, on top of the oil change, rotation and inspection. For fuel filters, DEF warnings and the rest of diesel upkeep, see our Duramax diesel service page.
What else comes with a new Chevrolet
The first visit is one piece of Chevrolet's owner coverage. The same Chevrolet page lists a 3-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty for vehicle defect repairs, 5-year / 60,000-mile powertrain coverage, and 24-hour Roadside Assistance and Courtesy Transportation for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, with Courtesy Transportation stretched to 8 years or 100,000 miles on EVs. Duramax owners get more powertrain time: Chevrolet's Duramax page puts Duramax Turbo-Diesel engines under a 5-year / 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.
New Chevrolets also include 10 years of standard Connected Access for the original purchaser, with features such as Dealer Maintenance Notifications and a monthly Vehicle Diagnostics Report. Read more on our OnStar page, and find answers to common questions after buying a new car.
